Version 1.0.30 is now available

After running some tests with APE under Mono for MacOS I was able to fix several bugs which prevented the program from being usable.

Although it is still extremely unstable and the UI presents many problems, release 1.0.30 can finally be used under MacOS.

Some known bugs when running APE with Mono are:

LINQ, a technology that is extensively used by APE, is considerably slower under Mono so APE is less responsive under MacOS

The interface looks horrible and is constantly flickering -- let's hope that future versions of Mono correct this

Sometimes APE will simply close (crash)...

 Version 1.0.29 is now available

This version fixes a large number of bugs and it's almost feature complete.

The downloadable zip file (which should be used for those who want to run APE under MacOS using Mono) now includes a small script (StartAPE) that can be used to launch APE without having to open a terminal window.

Also, this version of APE will detect when it is running under Mono and will be disable most of its eye-candy features, since these don't seem to work very well with Mono.

APE for Traktor Pro is released

Advanced Playlists Editor for Traktor Pro (or APE for short) has been designed to ease the process of managing Traktor's collection while providing a set of advanced (yet very easy to use) tools that allow operations that cannot be performed with Traktor nor any other tool (such as iTunes).

Please note that this version of APE is still considered a beta which basically means that (a) not all features are implemented and (b) those that are, are not guaranteed to work.
Also, the documentation included with this release is not complete but should help you get started and take advantage of the many options provided by APE.
