Hi,
I am using XP Pro and every time it starts it tries to start the windows installer. Then I get error 2343.
Please help?

Try applying the latest service pack for your version of Office.

That is now done, OXP SP1. The messsage still comes up on startup of the program?

Perhaps the Windows Installer is for a product other than Office.
Do you have any idea which programs that you have installed on your machine were installed using the Windows Installer?

The cause of this problem is that DMB may have updated some system component which other product previously installed.
Now, every time this component is accessed by DMB the other program's installer tried to downgrade the component.
Usually the solution is to determine which program is having this problem and then obtaining the latest version for this particular application.
