Using version 3.5 I upgraded an older dmb menu file for a collegue who was starting to think he was completely crazy. I said "must be something small". Can't be an error in DHTML Menu Builder, right? However, this thing has been driving me up the wall all day.

At first when installing the frames loader code, there were error messages that file thisandthat.htm could not be loaded because it was outside the root web. Got rid of that one by making all the paths in the URL/Script box relative to the root web.

The second one is more elusive: the frames loader code reports an error when loading the page. Unfortunately I am running XP with IE 6 in Dutch, so the error message is "tekenreeksconstante niet goed afgesloten". This roughly translates into "variable incorrectly closed" and usually points to some " of ; not being there in JavaScript. Anywhere I forgot to look in the project settings where I left something blank?

All problems appear to be caused by the same thing:

Paths MUST never be typed manually.
You MUST always use the browse button to select the links for your menu items.

Re-select all the links using the browse button (small yellow folder besides the URL text box) and then recompile your project.

Xavier,

Tried that and downloaded the latest DMB. Still getting the errors. The correct English translation of my error is probably "unterminated string constant" - as seen in another post.

Greetz,

Dear redina,

Please post your modified .dmb project so I can take a look at it.
