Xavier,

I just downloaded the latest version. No problem there. But when I try to validate I keep getting a "unable to communicate with server" message. This is the first time I've had this problem. I can't really use the program until this is fixed. Knowing you, you'll get right on it.

Thanks,

John S.

Hi Xavier,
This has just happened to me, as well (Version 3.5).  I connect through a LAN, but that has never been a problem before.  I use Windows 2000, and that has never before been a problem, either.  All other internet-capable applications can access the internet.  I am still looking into this, but would appreciate a bit of thought about it on your end, as well.

On a personal note, is't been a while, how have you been?

Same thing happened to me. I thought ZoneAlarm was the problem, but when I shut down ZoneAlarm, I get the same message. Please help.

I should note that after I upgraded, the software added my registration info automatically. It added a six digit number as an order number and my name into the fields. This six digit number is totally different than the reg/seriel number that was in the v3.0 software. I no longer have my receipt available. It is likely stored away with tax receipts.

I too am connected to a home network. Two computers networked together: XP Home and Win98. The problem occurred with the software on the Win98 computer. Btw, how can I use this software on our new XP Home computer? Do I have to purchase it again for the other machine? sad.gif

I think we'll have to be patient. My guesses are:

1) The "validate" function on the server is in fact down, or their is a minor bug in the latest version that prevents validation.

2) Xavier is likely out of down for the 4th of July weekend and we'll have to wait a couple days for the fix.

I'm sorry for all the problems.
Yesterday our ISP went down... and kept us disconnected from the Internet for about 8 hours.

Everything should be just fine right now.

Paiyili, it's good to see you're back wink.gif

I forgot to mention that a new validation server is being setup on the US... and future versions of DMB will try to use them both.

The registration now worked for me. However, what about my question previous. If I want to install this on my new XP computer, do I have purchase another license for it? I am the only one who uses it.

You can install and register DMB from as many computers as you need as long as you don't use them simultaneously.

Hello Xavier,

Today, 7.7.2002 9:51 AM (+1 GMT), in switzerland I can't validate registration ...

Greetings from Swiss

1) Make sure you are either using DMB 3.3.004 or 3.5
2) If you're using one of the above versions, please try the validation process again

Sorry, but I still do not know how to do this. Do I simply download the full trial version, install it on the XP machine, and use the registration info (invoice # and name) from the Windows 98 machine on the XP machine? The software on the Windows 98 machine was installed a year or two ago. Just upgraded it, but don't know how else to get a copy of it off one machine and onto the other unless I download the latest full trial version. Thanks.

You cannot transfer DHTML Menu Builder from one machine to the other.

To install and register DMB on a new machine, download the DEMO from the web site and use your registration information (order number, user name and company) to register it.

I don't have the order number. Just the serial number. I didn't write the order number down when I updated the software on the Win98 machine. How can I get the order number?

You must send an email to request your order number through this system:

Please make sure you provide as much information as possible so we can locate your purchase receipt.
