Hi
I am using the expandable drop AddIn and i am getting a random error every now and then when I have clicked on the menu item to expand it and then clicked again to close the expand.
The error I get is:
'ImcHS is null or not an object'
It seems to happen if you click on a menu item to expand it expand...then roll over the other menu items...and then go back and click on the expanded menu item to contract it..it then prodcuces the error.
I have attached my source file for you to have a look at.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Regards
Chris

Well I get no errors in either IE or Firefox. Is the menu up on a site yet? If so can we have the URL to check. If the error message only appears on your preview from within the prog. it may just be a local issue on you machine

Hi John
I have checked the error on my PC and a Mac and get the same error...not only in the program but also compiled and installed into my webpage.
It only happens if you click on an item to make it drop down and then roll over the another menu item before clicking the original menu item to make it close the dropdown...if you understand....e.g.
- click on button No1 (to expand the dropdown)
- then roll your mouse over button No2
- then move your mouse back up to button No1 and click (to contract the dropdown)
...likewise if you do the same with the other buttons
It happens all the time.

Chris,
I really have tried everything I can think of to make this happen but to no avail! I have done exactly what you said to do. Does this happen if you use the preview in the Prog without using the target page? If it only happens on the site on the web or if you use the target page option, is there any other javascript on your page that may be causing the problem. I am not competent enough to check the actual js files, if there is a problem there (which I doubt) then it would need Xaviers expertise

Hi John
thanks for your reply.
It happens in the preview box and in the actual page itself.
I also noticed another two users who have the same error.
There is on other JavaScript to conflict with it..its got me stumped!
I hope Xavier is able to work out the problem if nobody else can but thanks for looking at it for me...I can't understand why you don't get the problem. I looked on a PC and a Mac using IE in another location and they got the same error. :-S

I also get the same error, in IE and Firefox.
I had a look at the code for the AddIn, but can't figure it out. If you're feeling brave you can edit the AddIn code yourself from with in DMB.

Well, I feel the odd one out here. I can't get the error message. So, I have set up a page on one of my sites, loaded the menu having changed nothing at all apart from the configuration file details and still can't get the error message.
Please try Menu Test Page
and see if you get the error message!
If not I would guess the problem is within the original page somewhere but I don't really know!
I'm now very intrigued (not good for a man of my advanced age!!!!!!!!!!!)
Regards to all

P.S. One really good thing about this forum, it certainly keeps the brain active.

How bizzarre!
It works fine!
Hmmmm.....me really stumped now.
I don't think it oculd be a problem with something else in tha page because I can create a blank page just with the ,emu in and it still gives me the error!!
Could you try saving te menu as another filename and posting here and I'll see if it changes anything.
Try this: My Test Page
Just to be sure it isn't program related are you using Version 4.9.016?

Chris
I think you might have cracked it. I'm using Version 4.10.000.
I have attached my copy of your project file anyway (the one I used on the site)

Hi John
It's the only thing I could think of as to why it worked from your compiled files rather than mine.
I have now updated my software to much delight!!
Thanks for your help
