I keep getting an IE script error while using DHTML Menu Builder 4.2, and the pop-up asks me if I want to continue running scripts. I get this error message when I click on any toolbar, group, or try to perform any action while building a menu on my computer.
There is also no Live View on the task pane. The only way I can see what the menu looks like is to click "preview" on the top tool bar in the program.
There has also been several instances of the whole program window blinking for several minutes while performing an action, like it's on the verge of crashing, but after awhile it comes back.
Why is IE checking the script while using the program? I am not talking about an installed script on a web page, as I never get that far because I'm too busy checking no I don't want to continue running scripts on this page.
The error messages refer to the temp file on my computer under C:\Documents and Settings\me\Local\DMB\States\Default\lvp.html.
It usually says Line: 132, Character: 59, Error: Expected ";", but some times these errors change.
It must be some setting on my computer, as it never used to do this.
I don't even have IE running when trying to compile a menu using DHTML Menu Builder.
In IE, I have all the script debugging and reporting turned off.
I have disabled AVG.
Does anyone else have any suggestions as to why IE is checking the program while I'm building a menu, or how I can turn it off so that I can build some menus without constantly being interrupted with that error box?
Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.
