Menus show a problem in Opera V6.04 (latest version) in that they do always hide when the focus is removed completely.

Individual drop-downs will hide when focus moves to another drop-down but if the mouse is moved away from the menu completely the last dop-down can remain permanently.

This behaviour is smasmodic but occurs >50% of the time.

Can you reproduce the problem with the menus on this forum?
ianhaynes
Apologies for the delay in replying, I've been heavily involved on another project for a few days.

Effect can be seen at COG Demo

It's a rough demo, graphics wise, as you will see!

Effect can be seen by hovering over a button image and then moving off the image to the right. The drop-downs sometimes hang for about 30 seconds.

I can see the problem and I think I know what's causing it.
I'm sure this will sound weird... but try adding some content to your page.

Just paste enough text so when a menu is displayed the text is longer that the menus.

Try it and let me know if this fixes the problem.

Think I've interpreted your suggestion correctly, but it has made no difference.

??

hmmm...

Then I'm not sure what can be causing this.
Perhaps is that you're using imagemaps.

Try attaching the trigger code directly into the <  a > tag instead of creating a reference to an imagemap.
ianhaynes
It is the image maps that are causing the problem.

I'll have to live with it, my customer wants the image change.

(Guess the only other way is to slice the image up into smaller pieces so that I dont need to use a map).

Thanks for the help.
