Hello,

Sorry if this is my second post on the same thing. My comp crashed while uploading.

My menus are flashing and loading weird when viewing this site online:

www.bss.on.ca/new/index.html

offline, it works great (see attached)

I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't figure it out.

HELP!

Also, should the meus work in Netscape 4.7?

Thanks
Noah

What version of DMB are you using?
noah
3.5
noah
Any idea what the problem is?
xfx
noah,

What's the exact version number?
Is it 3.5.004?

------

I have seen that behavior before but not so... "noticeable".
noah
yes, 3.5.004

Keep in mind this is only when it's online, not when it running locally.

hmmmm
xfx
noah,

Please post your .dmb project so I can run some tests with it.

Thanks,

I was supposed to put this site online last week. I really need an answer to this. I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks
xfx
Please try your menu system from this address and let me know if you experience the same problem:

No, It works fine! Hmmm, do you know what's wrong with it on my server?
xfx
I don't think its a server issue... it looks to me that it has to be some sort of combination between the frames implementation, other javascript code and some other thing.

Why don't you create a copy of your frame set on some folder and then start removing "things", such as rollover effects, flash animations, etc... and see if you notice any changes and/or improvements.
noah
OK,

I've taken everything out except the menus.

http://www.bss.on.ca/newexp/index.html

and it's still happening.

It has to be a server issue. I've put it on another server and it works fine. Next week I will rebuild the web server. hopefully this will fix the problem.

Is there anything else you can think of that might be causing this?

Thanks a million
Noah

please check here:

http://www.cd-mastering.com/uploads/new/index.html

it's a slow server, but it's the exact copy of the site working fine.

strange.
xfx
Wow... you're right! This is weird.

How is the webmaster?
Can you ask him/her about the server's cache and session expiration settings?
noah
I rebuilt the server, reinstalling win2000 server and everything works fine now. I still don't know what the problem was but it works now.

Tell me, should my menu work in Netscape 4?
xfx
Yes.

DHTML Menu Builder's menus are fully supported under the ancient Navigator 4.
