I have built a menu for www.pestworld.org. The menu works great for everyone but the client... Selected members of their staff are experiencing javascript errors.
"A Dynamic Link Library initialization routine failed."
It then references the URL of our site, and line #2.
After research by the client's network administrator, he reveals the following information. BTW, they are running a firewall and a proxy server.
What additional information will help to resolve this? I am getting slammed due to the problem.
Thanks,
Greg

Greg,
Try removing:
- All AUE effects
- All dropshadow/transparency effects
Recompile the project and let them test the menus again.
If this fixes the problem then they have a problem with their machines and the DirectShow libraries.

Has this been resolved? I have a client that is experiencing this as well.

This is not a problem with the menus...
This is a problem with the DirectShow installation and, unfortunately, it is extremly hard to resolve.
Some users have reported that re-installing the latest versions of the following packages solves the problem:
- DirectX
- Windows Media Player
- Internet Explorer SP2

I have another client experiencing this same problem. I will recommend your suggestions above, but it sounds like, as of last posting, this was not exactly nailed down. Have you received any further input that would be helpful?

Unfortunately I haven't found any relevant solution to this issue other than to re-install IE.
Now that IE7 is out, installing IE7 over a faulty IE5/IE6 may help resolve the problem.
