Create Office 2007 gradient menus for DHTML Menu Builder 4.20.007
Version 1.0a (16/Jul/2007)

 Experience Required: Beginner

Microsoft recently released what may be one of the most nice looking office suites ever... and, as always, they implemented a new type of menu. Although quite similar to the menus from previous versions, these new menus show a 3d-like gradient effect.

Up until now, this type of gradient was only possible using a pre-made image that had to be used as the background for all menu items... this works just fine but it's a tedious job. Now, with the use of the O2K7 Gradients AddIn you can create a-la-Office 2007 menus by just specifying the colors you want to use and the AddIn will generate the gradients using javascript!

Just take a look at these samples...

Orange Blue Silver Simple Blue Orange Inverted Low Quality Blue

How does it work? Well, it's very simple: all you have to do is define four variables inside a javascript block, just like it appears in the samples. Each variable defines each one of the four colors used to create the gradients.

The colors are defined by specifying the red, blue and green (RGB) components of the color. You can use DHTML Menu Builder's own "Color Picker" application to obtain these values.
If you do not specify the values for these variables, the AddIn will default to use the colors from the "Orange" sample.

Support The use of this or any other AddIn is not supported by xFX JumpStart.
If this or any other AddIn is causing problems you may report it on the public forum but xFX JumpStart takes no responsibility and makes no guarantees about the menus' stability.
